The Santiago Avispas topped the Miami Cyclones, 5-2, in Eastern Conference action at Estadio Guillermón Moncada. The standout performance belonged to Santiago pitcher and New York, native Beau Eschmann. Susumu Shibuya sewed up the save, his 1st. The first-place Avispas improved to 41-30.

Jonathan Villegas, who is tied for 5th in the EC in triples with 3, contributed to the Santiago win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.

"Beau's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Jacob Pauly, the Avispas manager.
