Maine starter Felix Talamantez pitched well against the Washington Senators at Ballpark of Portland. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3, in 13 innings. Adam Shallow, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. With the win, Maine goes to 3-4.

The decisive blow was delivered by Justin Zehr in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Ian Huycke to win the game for Maine. The home crowd went nuts.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Zehr said in his postgame press conference.
