Down to Defeat Goes Brooklyn, 5-1
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 27-year old third baseman Terry van de Belt, the Santiago Avispas stopped the Brooklyn Browns, 5-1. The Browns, now 36-34, have lost 4 straight.
Early in the game, van de Belt had a 2-run home run for Santiago. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Avispas on top, 2-0.
"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said van de Belt. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
