The Minneapolis Vikings and Los Angeles Stars played an entertaining game for Minneapolis Grounds patrons.

Javy Trinidad was a major factor in the 5-4 Minneapolis win over Los Angeles. The Vikings third baseman was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Josh Hawes was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 9 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Zee-loo Kim collected his 17th save.

Minneapolis grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Trinidad hit a 3-run home run off Hector Bazaldua. His 12th home run of the season put the Vikings out in front, 5-2.

"Nice win for us," said Trinidad. "Now we'll go after the next one."

The Vikings improved their record to 43-27 with the win over Los Angeles.
