Philadelphia Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Philadelphia Spectres overcame a pretty good performance by Buffalo right fielder Bobby Rojas, beating the Rangers, 7-6, at Sony Field at Philadelphia. Rojas went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Philadelphia reliever Alberto Zamora picked up the win, while Earl Tessier took the loss for Buffalo. Philadelphia has now won 5 in a row.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Philadelphia left fielder Lucas Houghton, facing Earl Tessier, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Spectres the 7-6 win.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Houghton said.
