Orta Now 1-0 After Beating Dragons

The Alaska Kodiaks earned a win at Portland Park, stopping the Portland Dragons, 3-0. Starting pitcher Pavel Orta played a big role in his team's success. Xiang-ling Khoo was credited with the save for Alaska, his 3rd of the season. The Kodiaks, at 37-30, lead by one game in their division.
The Dragons had trouble solving Orta, who surrendered no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings.
"I was able to fill up the zone," said Orta.
