Santiago shortstop Nate Tinsley played a vital role in his team's 6-5 conquest of Montreal. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for Santiago. Ivan Rivas claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 4-3. Phillip Dalley earned the save, his 9th.

Tinsley had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 fastball from Dave Quintero, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Avispas a 4-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Tinsley.

"Glad to go home with a win," said Tinsley.

The triumph puts Santiago at 43-25 for the season.
