Senators Win Squeaker, 4-3, Over Kings
|
Senators fans were treated to an exciting walk-off win.
The Washington Senators racked up a win at The ESPN Zone, bumping off the Baltimore Kings, 4-3. Rajam Masrani, who started for Washington, pitched effectively for his team. The win went to Chris Quickle in relief, making him now 1-0. Julio Olivo took the loss for Baltimore.
Danny Mrazek was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Senators designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Baltimore manager Brad Carpenter said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
The Senators go to 27-42 with the win.
