The exploits of designated hitter Marco Barocio, who is rated as the 28th best prospect by BNN, helped the St. Louis Gaedels defeat the Washington Senators, 11-2. Barocio went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Andres Anguiano, who finished 4th in the EC in strikeouts with 241 in 2073, was the winner. He's now 1-1. The Gaedels got a big hit from first baseman Bryan McKillip. Facing Washington pitcher Zenjiro Koga in the bottom of the fifth, McKillip pounded a bases-clearing double to left. His 1st double of the season put the Gaedels ahead, 8-0.

"The effort wasn't good enough," said losing manager Josh Cooan.
