Destroyers Rally Late to Clip Seattle
|
Keverne Brady did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Seattle Arrows an extra-inning, 8-7 loss to the San Diego Destroyers at Power Ballpark. Brady was 4-5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The Destroyers raised their record to 26-41.
San Diego needed the clutch hitting of Lan-quing Qiu to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Destroyers on top, 8-5. For the game, Qiu had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"It was a solid team effort," said Qiu after the game.
