Stars Raise Rally Flag, Beat Kansas City, 6-1
|
Los Angeles turned a good performance from starting pitcher Tadeu Carneira into a 6-1 triumph over the Kansas City Athletics at Ballpark of Missouri. The winner in relief was Dustin Kerley. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. With the win, the Stars hiked their record to 35-32.
Los Angeles used a timely hit from Bonaventure Moser to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stars ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Carneira.
