Dragons Hope Opening Day Win Bodes Well for Season
Fans of the Portland Dragons who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Portland win over the visiting Seattle Arrows, 5-3. Yahya Kanoro started for the home team against Alex Zapien. Brian Prochazka earned accolades for his performance. Charlie Petipas picked up the save, his 1st.

Portland took a 4-3 lead on Min-chor Ann's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Ann hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Seattle pitcher Alex Zapien visibly frustrated.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Ann.
