Friday, July 23rd, 2027: The Rochester Valley Cats will lose the services of starting pitcher Ricardo Ortíz after he sustained shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch in today's game against the Laredo Prowlers. "I'll get through it," Ortíz said. "The key now is to stay positive." His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for 6 months.
Ortíz has started 18 times this year, pitched 95.2 innings, fanned 80 batters and walked 20. His current record is 8 wins and 3 losses with a 2.16 ERA. | |
