 | Star of the Week Picked in AC Monday, July 12th, 2027: Guanajuato fans have something to crow about today as Guanajuato second baseman Wladimir Op den Kamp nabbed the Alpha Conference Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Op den Kamp. He posted a .440 average (11-25) this past week with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. This year Op den Kamp is hitting .404 with 3 home runs and 28 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .493 clip and scored 30 runs. |
