Medicine Hat whipped Stottville 20-2 and Howard Peck displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at Ballpark of Stottville. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Howard Peck walked in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Joe Unknown in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Gordon Stabler in the 9th.
