 | 20 Games in a Row for Francis Thursday, June 10th, 2027: Whisper Walk's 21-year-old first baseman Richard Francis has had a fine run at the plate over the last few weeks. His consecutive-game hitting streak has reached 20 games now. Today Francis extended the streak by going 1-5 against Heat pitching. The streak has brought him a degree of attention that he has tried to deflect. Francis always prefers to talk about his teammates' accomplishments rather than his own. After the Emeralds 3-2 triumph over Lodi at Emeralds Stadium he downplayed his part in the victory. Richard Francis grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and grounded out in the 10th. This year Francis is hitting .352 with 89 hits, 1 home run, 28 RBIs and has scored 36 runs. |
