 | Spectres-Nighthawks Trade: Bowman for Castillo Sunday, December 19th, 2027: Several Spectres and Nighthawks players soon will have to start shopping for a new home. It was announced today that the two teams came to agreement on a trade. Philadelphia will get 32-year-old starting pitcher Albert Castillo and New Orleans will pick up 27-year-old shortstop Mike Bowman, 20-year-old minor league closer Kelvin Palliagua, 20-year-old minor league center fielder David-Alexandre Gagnier, a 1st round draft pick and a 2nd round draft pick in return. "I'm not surprised by the news," one of the players told reporters, "It's part of the business and I understand that. I am looking forward to playing for the Spectres."
A check of his lifetime stats shows Bowman has a career .242 average with 684 hits, 136 doubles, 10 triples, 115 home runs and 455 RBIs. To date he has scored 392 runs, walked 276 times and stolen 7 bases.
During his career the 32-year-old Castillo has piled up 1728.1 innings. Over that time, he has fanned 1778 batters, walked 453 and put up a 3.43 ERA. His lifetime won-lost mark is 118-80 and opposing clubs have hit .236 against him. | |
