 | Alford Honored by Western Conference Monday, August 23rd, 2027: Phil Alford is respected by most Detroit Diamonds fans for his no-frills style of play. The 28-year-old left fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Western Conference Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .500 average (11-22) with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. So far this season Alford is hitting .287 with 15 home runs, 70 RBIs and 45 runs scored. He has 120 hits in 418 at-bats and a .353 OBP. |
