 | Sánchez Slaps 5 Hits Wednesday, July 21st, 2027: The Diamonds whipped the Power 13-3 at Diamonds Ballpark and Luis Sánchez had a big hand in the win. The Diamonds right fielder came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Sánchez and a tough day for Dallas. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Sánchez delivered today -- 5-5 is outstanding in any league. Luis Sánchez singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Pedro Medina in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This season Sánchez is batting .271 with 10 home runs. His totals include 56 RBIs and 47 runs scored. |
